Michael<\/strong> Urie<\/strong><\/a> reveals a new \u2014 and perhaps unlikely \u2014 costar he clicked with on set.<\/p>\n

Urie, 45, plays main character Jimmy\u2019s (Jason<\/strong> Segel<\/strong><\/a>) narcissistic yet supportive best friend, Brian, in the Apple TV original series Shrinking<\/em>. Filming for the third season of the highly acclaimed series wrapped in late summer, and Urie exclusively teased to Us<\/em> Weekly<\/em> what \u2014 and who \u2014 we may see with his character in the upcoming season.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, season three has amazing guest stars: Jeff<\/strong> Daniels<\/strong>, Michael<\/strong> J<\/strong>. Fox<\/strong><\/a>, Candice<\/strong> Bergen<\/strong>. I may or may not work with a baby a lot,\u201d Urie told Us<\/em> at the opening night of Ragtime<\/em> on Broadway on October 16. \u201cI have to say that, you know, they say, \u2018Don\u2019t work with babies,\u2019 but I may not fall in love with acting opposite babies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI really feel like I bonded with them and made an imprint. Maybe they imprinted on me,\u201d Urie continued.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tEric Mabius\u00a0couldn\u2019t be happier watching his former Ugly Betty costars continue to shine since the show\u2019s 2010 finale. \u201cI had so much fun working with everyone,\u201d Mabius, 53, exclusively told Us Weekly of his Ugly Betty castmates while promoting his latest Hallmark Mystery movie, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters. \u201cI don\u2019t have [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Other notable cast members include Harrison<\/strong> Ford<\/strong><\/a>, Jessica<\/strong> Williams<\/strong>, Christa<\/strong> Miller<\/strong>, Brett<\/strong> Goldstein<\/strong>, Ted<\/strong> McGinley<\/strong>, Luke<\/strong> Tennie<\/strong> and Lukita<\/strong> Maxwell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Shrinking<\/em>, Urie\u2019s character often makes references to award-winning actress Bernadette<\/strong> Peters<\/strong>, which Urie says the writers include because they \u201cknow\u201d him and his love of Broadway so well.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe writers know me. I never put those in. They put them in,\u201d Urie told Us<\/em>. \u201cAlso Sutton<\/strong> Foster<\/strong><\/a>. Did you catch that?\u201d<\/p>\n

Urie is largely known for his breakout role as Marc St. James on Ugly Bett<\/em>y, where he starred alongside America<\/strong> Ferrera<\/strong><\/a>, Vanessa<\/strong> Williams<\/strong><\/a>, Ana<\/strong> Ortiz<\/strong><\/a>, Eric<\/strong> Mabius<\/strong> and more. He has also appeared on Broadway in productions such as Hamlet<\/em>, Torch<\/em> Song<\/em> and more recently in Cole<\/strong> Escola\u2019s<\/strong> Oh<\/em>, Mary<\/em>!, and is set to star in the Off-Broadway production of Shakespeare\u2019s Richard<\/em> II<\/em>, which is directed by Craig<\/strong> Baldwin<\/strong>, at the end of October.<\/p>\n

In 2019, Urie cofounded Pride Plays, an initiative dedicated to \u201camplifying queer voices, celebrating our stories.\u201d In early June, the organization partnered with Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, D.C., to host a three-day, free play festival. Later that month they also held a single day reading of four new plays in New York City.<\/p>\n

Urie, who has been acting for over 20 years now, shared with Us<\/em> a recent encounter he had with someone from the earlier days of his career.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis just happened the other night. I was just standing outside the Astor Place Theater where we\u2019re doing Richard<\/em> II<\/em>, taking a picture of myself in front of the picture of me,\u201d Urie told Us<\/em>. \u201cI was taking a picture of me in front of the [marquee]. And this kid walked by, this college age kid. He was like, \u2018Oh, hey, we were in a movie together. I played your son.\u2019 That literally just happened.\u201d<\/p>\n
