Brandy and Monica, the once-feuding stars of R&B, are singing each others\u2019 praises after their reunion tour hit an unexpected hurdle over the weekend. <\/p>\n
Singer-actor Brandy sent virtual flowers to \u201cmy sister, Monica, for stepping up with such grace and professionalism\u201d as she explained her abrupt exit from the duo\u2019s Chicago concert on Saturday. The \u201cCinderella\u201d star, 46, turned heads at the Chicago\u2019s United Center when she walked off stage mid-performance, according to video<\/a> shared by TMZ, leaving Monica to finish performing their Grammy-winning hit \u201cThe Boy Is Mine,\u201d solo. <\/p>\n \u201cI sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night\u2019s performance in Chicago. After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint,\u201d Brandy said in an Instagram statement<\/a> shared Sunday. \u201cEveryone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cAfrodisiac\u201d artist explained that it was her decision to push forward with the concert, \u201cdespite not feeling OK.\u201d Even after making \u201csome adjustments,\u201d Brandy said it was ultimately \u201cimpossible to fully connect sonically with the production.\u201d The \u201cMissing You\u201d singer said she left the arena and was treated by a doctor and has \u201ctaken the proper precautions to help moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n Brandy and Monica announced their co-headlining Boy Is Mine tour in June<\/a> and kicked off the shows Thursday in Cincinnati. They are set to perform at the Kia Forum on Nov. 9. <\/p>\n A day after her sudden walk-off, Brandy was back on stage Sunday with Monica at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. She shared photos<\/a> from their latest gig to Instagram on Monday. <\/p>\n \u201cYou absolutely killed it last night @brandy,\u201d Monica said in her Instagram story on Monday, reposting the singer\u2019s photos. <\/p>\n Brandy and Monica embarked on their Boy Is Mine tour 27 years after releasing the namesake single in 1998.
