Love Is Blind<\/em><\/a> season 9 star Joe Ferrucci<\/strong> briefly dated Kacie McIntosh<\/strong> after splitting with his ex \u2014 but the emphasis should be on \u201cbriefly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo when Joe and I started talking \u2014 I think it was our first date \u2014 we were at a bar, and he was, like, ran into this girl, and he\u2019s like, \u2018Oh you know I\u2019ve gone on a couple dates with that girl,\u2019\u201d Joe\u2019s girlfriend of over a year, Averee<\/strong>, explained in an interview on the \u201cReality Receipts Podcast\u201d<\/a> published on Sunday, October 19.<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cAnd I was like, \u2018Who?\u2019 and I, like, look over and of course it\u2019s Kacie. And I was like, \u2018Oh, okay.\u2019\u201d Averee added that she \u201cdidn\u2019t know much about her at that point\u201d and that Joe was \u201cfully transparent\u201d about the dynamic he and Kacie briefly shared.<\/p>\n

Averee also revealed that she isn\u2019t a fan \u2014 or friend \u2014 of Kacie\u2019s.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she\u2019s burnt a lot of bridges in our friend group,\u201d she said. \u201cObviously, from what we see on TV, it translates into real life. At least for other people, I can say [that] who they are on TV and who they are in real life isn\u2019t really the same \u2026 but for her, it fully translates into real life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Averee added, \u201cI mean I personally choose to surround myself with women that lift each other up and, like, follow girl code\u201d but insisted \u201cthat will never be Kacie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not what I want in a room with me and I guess all I\u2019ll say is, like, Joe getting a girlfriend did not stop her from continuously trying,\u201d Averee also said. She insisted that there was \u201cno overlap\u201d between herself and Kacie, \u201cbut it was just one of those [things] where she just wanted to know, I think, that she could have him or, like, get him still.\u201d<\/p>\n

Averee also said Kacie will text Joe \u201cevery couple weekends\u201d to find out what he\u2019s doing or where he is. This happened \u201call while [she was] trying to be friends with me. We met at a cool party last year, she\u2019s like, \u2018I just love you, I think you\u2019re so cute, I think you and Joe are great, like, it\u2019s no hard feelings to you,\u2019\u201d and then she\u2019s still trying to hook up with my man while she knows he\u2019s my man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe opened up about another relationship from the show this month. While speaking exclusively to Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> in an interview published Wednesday, October 15, Joe revealed that his break-up from ex-fiancee Madison Maidenberg<\/strong> was a little different than what is portrayed on the popular Netflix series.<\/p>\n
