Three-time Grammy winner and Zac Brown Band frontman Zac Brown<\/a> will join Eagles guitarist and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Joe Walsh <\/a>to serve as Mega Mentors on season 28 of NBC\u2019s The Voice<\/em>.<\/p>\n Brown will mentor contestants on teams for Michael Buble and Snoop Dogg, while Walsh will mentor contestants on teams for Niall Horan and Reba McEntire. Brown and Walsh will mentor the remaining contestants as they prepare for the Knockouts round, which begin Monday, Oct. 27.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n In the Knockouts rounds, each coach will begin with eight artists. There are no saves or steals in the round, and coaches will choose the winner from their team to continue on to the Playoffs round, which is the final round before the live shows begin. This season\u2019s Knockouts round will include the \u201cmic drop\u201d button, which each coach can use on an artist from their team whose performance duly impresses them. Viewers at home can vote for the mic drop winner among the four contestants chosen by judges. The artist with the most votes will be honored with a performance at The Rose Parade Presented by Honda, which takes place Jan. 1, 2026.<\/p>\n During his career leading the Zac Brown Band, Brown has seen five consecutive albums debut at the pinnacle of Billboard\u2019s Country Albums chart. In December, Zac Brown Band will become the first country group to have a residency at Las Vegas\u2019 Sphere, when the band\u2019s \u201cLove & Fear at Sphere\u201d shows launch in December (Kenny Chesney was the first country artist to launch a Sphere residency). Zac Brown Band\u2019s Sphere residency takes its name from the band\u2019s upcoming album Love & Fear<\/em>, out Dec. 5.<\/p>\n Walsh\u2019s five-decade career began with the James Gang in 1969, before he founded the trio Barnstorm and later launched a solo career. In 1975, he joined the Eagles. Together they notched enduring hits including \u201cHotel California,\u201d \u201cLife in the Fast Lane,\u201d \u201cNew Kid in Town\u201d and \u201cHeartache Tonight.\u201d In 1994, following a 14-year hiatus, the Eagles released the 1994 live album Hell Freezes Over<\/em>, which topped the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
