CHICAGO (WGN<\/a>) \u2014 R&B legend Brandy has responded on social media after she abruptly walked off the United Center stage Saturday night during a \u201cThe Boy is Mine Tour\u201d show, leaving Monica to close the show by herself.<\/p>\n In a Facebook post Sunday<\/a> addressed \u201cto my Dear Fans in Chicago,\u201d Brandy apologized and explained that she experienced dehydration and felt like she was going to faint during Saturday\u2019s show in Chicago.<\/p>\n According to TMZ<\/a>, Brandy stopped mid-song then said, \u201cGive me one second, y\u2019all, I gotta get my \u2026,\u201d before walking backstage.<\/p>\n Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers dies at 48 <\/a><\/p>\n TMZ reports Brandy didn\u2019t return following several minutes, after which Monica finished the show, concluding with the duo\u2019s 1998 hit, \u201cThe Boy is Mine.\u201d<\/p>\n Brandy issued the following statement Sunday:<\/p>\n \u201cTo my Dear Fans in Chicago,<\/p>\n \u201cThank you all for the overwhelming love, support, and \u2014 most importantly \u2014 your prayers.<\/p>\n \u201cI sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night\u2019s performance in Chicago. After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint, everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance.<\/p>\n \u201cI still made the decision to try and return and give it my all despite not feeling OK. With having to make some adjustments and the show being very technical, unfortunately, it was impossible to fully connect sonically with the production. I really appreciate everyone\u2019s best efforts.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m deeply grateful to my sister, Monica, for stepping up with such grace and professionalism and the entire crew for their continued care and support.<\/p>\n \u201cI went from the arena to see a doctor nearby and have taken the proper precautions to help moving forward. Your understanding, patience, and unwavering belief mean the world to me.<\/p>\n I look forward to returning to the stage \u2014 stronger and more grateful than ever \u2014 alongside my girl, Monica, (Sunday) night in Indianapolis.<\/p>\n With all my love,<\/p>\n Brandy\u201c<\/p>\n According to US Weekly<\/a>, Brandy returned to the stage Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and performed her entire set with Monica. The duo\u2019s \u201cThe Boy is Mine Tour\u201d<\/a> started on Thursday in Cincinnati.<\/p>\n Brandy and Monica released \u201cThe Boy Is Mine\u201d as the lead single from Brandy\u2019s 1998 album \u201cNever Say Never\u201d and Monica\u2019s 1998 album \u201cThe Boy Is Mine.\u201d The song quickly went to the\u00a0top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart<\/a>.
