Jon Stewart<\/a> called out Fox News on Monday\u2019s (October 20) episode of The Daily Show<\/em><\/a>, saying the network was \u201cjealous\u201d of all the \u201cangry, old, white people\u201d who attended the No Kings protests<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The comedian opened his monologue by airing clips from House Speaker Mike Johnson calling the No Kings protests a \u201chate America rally,\u201d and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent referring to the protestors as \u201cthe farthest left, the hardest core, the most unhinged in the Democratic party.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was going to be like Mad Max<\/em><\/a> out there with Chuck Schumer on flaming guitar,\u201d Stewart quipped. \u201cSo, this weekend, we sat in our bunkers, doors locked, windows boarded, muskets and cyanide pills at the ready, prepared for whatever the hardest core had in store. Do your worst, display your Marxism to its fullest!\u201d<\/p>\n

Stewart then aired clips of the \u201clargely peaceful\u201d protests that attracted around 7 million people across the country. \u201cI look forward to Republicans apologizing sincerely for implying these Americans were\u2026 what\u2019s the word I\u2019m looking for? Deplorable!\u201d the late-night host added.<\/p>\n

He then turned his attention to Fox News, with the network\u2019s anchors calling the protestors \u201csilly\u201d and unserious because many turned up in playful costumes.<\/p>\n

\u201cMake up your mind, Fox,\u201d Stewart stated. \u201cYou complained it would be a terrifyingly \u2018s*** your pants\u2019 protest, and now you are complaining about how boringly unpants-s****ing it was? Although there was one nit you picked that really felt off-brand.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stewart pointed to how Fox News anchors seemed incredulous that many \u201cold white people\u201d participated in the protests.<\/p>\n

\u201cExtra, extra! Read all about it. This country has too many angry, old, white people says\u2026 hold on\u2026 Fox News,\u201d Stewart joked. \u201cFox News says, \u2018Why are old, white people so angry?\u2019 Fox News, mad that there are so many old, white people in America. I don\u2019t think Fox News is mad. I think they\u2019re jealous.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, imagine a bunch of old, white people in costumes angrily protesting the direction and overreach of an ever-encroaching federal government,\u201d Stewart mocked while showing images of MAGA protestors in ridiculous costumes. \u201cThat\u2019s in no way a movement that could sweep the midterms and then be harnessed by a charismatic demagogue to remake an entire political party. I mean, it\u2019s laughable.\u201d<\/p>\n
