Axl Rose is making headlines after he lost his temper on stage and appeared to have taken it out on his bandmate.<\/p>\n
The Guns N\u2019 Roses singer repeatedly threw his microphone at new drummer Isaac Carpenter<\/a>\u2019s drum kit during a show in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Saturday, Oct. 18, as seen in a video posted to YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 63-year-old frontman also kicked the kit\u2019s bass drum and stormed off stage after singing the chorus to the opening number, \u201cWelcome to the Jungle.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSo, I\u2019ll just try and wing this,\u201d Rose said in the video before the onstage meltdown.<\/p>\n While the clip gave the impression Rose was angry at Carpenter, Daily Mail reported<\/a> the real reason Rose was upset was because of a technical glitch.<\/p>\n \u201cThere were technical difficulties with Axl\u2019s in ear monitors,\u201d source close to the rock star told Daily Mail, adding the Grammy-nominated musician \u201ccould only hear the percussion instruments \u2014 and nothing else.\u201d<\/p>\n This theory was also backed by fans, one who commented on the YouTube video.<\/p>\n \u201cI was there on Saturday, and he got angry at the sound technicians because he couldn\u2019t hear them, much less the rest of the band,\u201d the fan wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cThe drums drowned everything out, and he said, \u2018If my people don\u2019t care, neither do I. You guys are being incredible,\u2019\u201d the fan continued. \u201cAfter several songs, he also got angry at the sound technician and simply adjusted the return line in his ear.”<\/p>\n Insiders told Daily Mail the technical issues were resolved by the third song and the rest of the show continued smoothly. They also stressed that Rose was not angry with Carpenter\u2019s performance saying, “It had nothing to do with the drummer who is top notch and great.”<\/p>\n Guns N\u2019 Roses is currently on tour<\/a> with Rose, Carpenter, bassist Duff McKagan, lead guitarist Slash, and rhythm guitarist Richard Fortus. Carpenter, known for his work in AWOLNATION and with McKagan in the band Loaded, replaced<\/a> longtime drummer Frank Ferrer<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n Ferrer, whose exit was described as \u201camicable<\/a>,\u201d was part of Guns N\u2019 Roses from 2006 to 2025, serving longer than drummers Bryan \u201cBrain\u201d Mantia (2000-2006), Steven Adler (1985-1990) and Matt Sorum (1990-1997).<\/p>\n \u201cThe band thanks Frank for his friendship, creativity and sturdy presence over the past 19 years, and they wish him success in the next chapter of his musical journey,\u201d Guns N\u2019 Roses wrote in an Instagram post<\/a> on March 19.<\/p>\n Guns N\u2019 Roses is one of the best-selling rock bands of all time, known best for \u201880s and \u201890s hits like \u201cSweet Child O\u2019 Mine,\u201d \u201cNovember Rain,\u201d \u201cParadise City,\u201d and \u201cWelcome to the Jungle.\u201d The group, including Rose, Slash, McKagan, Adler, Sorum, Izzy Stradlin, and Dizzy Reed, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame <\/a>in 2012.<\/p>\n Read the original article on MassLive<\/a>.
