Here\u2019s why Taylor Swift<\/a> fans think that\u2019s the case.<\/p>\n On Monday (Oct. 20), a post<\/a> from Taylor Nation sent fans \u2014 and podcaster Alex Cooper\u2019s Daddy Gang \u2014 into a tizzy. Reposting a Swiftie who\u2019d uploaded a photo of the pop star looking shocked and written on X, \u201cMe when she father figures,\u201d Swift\u2019s official fan account wrote, \u201cOmg did you just call her daddy?\u201d<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n Now, TN may have just been referencing one of Swift\u2019s past jokes. After she dropped Folklore in 2020, Josh Visser posted, \u201cTaylor Swift didn\u2019t need to own the indie dad demo, but she did.\u201d<\/p>\n The 14-time Grammy winner then replied<\/a> at the time, \u201cOmg did you just call me \u2018daddy.’\u201d<\/p>\n However, some fans think the fan account was teasing that Swift\u2019s next interview will take place on Cooper\u2019s podcast, which often hosts A-list celebrity guests. (Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera, to name a few, have all sat down with her.)<\/p>\n \u201cTAYLOR ON CALL HER DADDY?!\u201d one Swiftie replied<\/a> to Taylor Nation, while another fan wrote<\/a>, \u201cReference aside, I SMELL A PODCAST.\u201d<\/p>\n Call Her Daddy has not teased any potential upcoming appearance by the superstar, and has not yet responded to Billboard\u2018s request for comment.<\/p>\n If Swift does appear on Call Her Daddy, it won\u2019t be her first podcast appearance this year. In August, the singer guested<\/a> on fianc\u00e9 Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce\u2019s New Heights, on which she announced her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. The LP has since made a historic debut<\/a> at No. 1 on the Billboard 200<\/a> with more than 4 million copies sold in its first week, blowing past Adele\u2019s previous record for biggest album opening in the modern era.<\/p>\n With her past podcast experience in mind, it\u2019s not out of the realm of possibility that Swift might keep the trend going by appearing on Call Her Daddy.
