\n\tNeon<\/a>, the studio behind \u201cAnora\u201d and \u201cParasite,\u201d and Waypoint Entertainment<\/a>, the production and financing company behind \u201cThe Favourite\u201d and \u201cHostiles,\u201d have expanded their partnership with a multi-picture slate financing deal. In addition to \u201cSplitsville,\u201d a romantic comedy which was released on Sept. 5, the films include \u201cArco,\u201d \u201cNo Other Choice,\u201d \u201cSentimental Value,\u201d \u201cSir\u00e2t,\u201d and \u201cThe Secret Agent,\u201d with Waypoint Entertainment\u2019s genre label Cweature Features coming on board for \u201cKeeper\u201d and \u201cShelby Oaks.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tNeon and Waypoint\u2019s existing co-financing partnership came about after a successful collaboration on Tilman Singer\u2019s \u201cCuckoo,\u201d starring Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens. The two companies went on to collaborate on a number of films including Osgood Perkins\u2019 \u201cLonglegs\u201d; the upcoming Boots Riley feature \u201cI Love Boosters,\u201d starring Keke Palmer, Naomi Ackie, LaKeith Stanfield, Demi Moore and Eiza Gonz\u00e1lez; and Damian McCarthy\u2019s \u201cHokum,\u201d starring Andrew Scott, which Cweature Features recently came on board to co-produce.<\/p>\n \n\tThe deal was negotiated by Neon founder Tom Quinn and chief financial officer Ryan Friscia, as well as Waypoint co-founder Ken Kao and partner Josh Rosenbaum.<\/p>\n \n\tThis awards season, five Neon films have been presented by countries as official selections for the best international feature film category for the Academy Awards. Four of these titles \u2014 \u201cThe Secret Agent\u201d for Brazil, releasing Nov. 26; \u201cSir\u00e2t\u201d for Spain; \u201cSentimental Value\u201d for Norway, releasing on Nov. 7; and \u201cNo Other Choice\u201d for South Korea, releasing Dec. 25 \u2014 are part of the newly expanded Waypoint partnership. They join \u201cIt Was Just An Accident\u201d (France), which was released Oct. 15 and also captured the Palme d\u2019Or at Cannes this year. Neon\u2019s recent releases include \u201cTogether\u201d starring Alison Brie and Dave Franco, and Raoul Peck\u2019s \u201cOrwell: 2+2=5.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tFor more than a decade, Waypoint has worked with leading auteurs such as Yorgos Lanthimos, Scott Cooper, Terrence Malick and Martin Scorsese. Last year, the company launched Cweature Features.
