Joy Oladokun is making her Grand Ole Opry debut \u2014 and one of her heroes broke the news! On Monday night, Oladokun shared a video of herself finding out from Sheryl Crow that she\u2019ll be performing at the storied Nashville venue for the very first time on Dec. 2.<\/p>\n
\u201cHey Joy, I am sitting here at the Grand Ole Opry. I was just wondering if maybe you would want to do your debut here on December 2nd? Congratulations, you\u2019re gonna be playing here,\u201d Crow says in the video. \u201cAnd I\u2019m gonna be in the audience.\u201d<\/p>\n
More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n The video captures Oladokun smiling at her phone as she receives the news from Crow, who has been supportive of her rise throughout the years.<\/p>\n \u201cI also must say that @sherylcrow has been the most consistent voice of support and encouragement throughout my career. I could go on but I have a feeling I\u2019ll get to share more soon,\u201d Oladokun captioned the post, before adding on her Stories: \u201cAnyone who has kept up with me knows that this is equal parts an honor and a surprise.\u201d<\/p>\n Along with Oladokun, Mexican-American country star Wyatt Flores is also scheduled to perform on Dec. 2.<\/p>\n This year, the Opry is celebrating its centennial anniversary and has been welcoming a lot of debuts in the last few weeks.
