Taylor Swift <\/a>might be, well, Taylor Swift, but at the end of the day, she\u2019s just as much of a fangirl as the rest of us.<\/p>\n After AJ McLean posted an Instagram video<\/a> of himself listening to a remix of her song \u201cElizabeth Taylor\u201d mashed up with the Backstreet Boys\u2019 \u201cEverybody (Backstreet\u2019s Back),\u201d the pop superstar couldn\u2019t contain her excitement in the comments. \u201cOH HI AJ OH MY GOD,\u201d she wrote Monday (Oct. 20).<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cCome on now you know one of us had to! @taylorswift !\u201d McLean had captioned the clip.<\/p>\n \u201cElizabeth Taylor\u201d appears on Swift\u2019s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, which dropped Oct. 3. The LP did historic numbers <\/a>in its first week, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200<\/a> with a record 4.002 million equivalent album units sold.<\/p>\n \u201cI have 4 million thank you\u2019s I want to send to the fans, and 4 million reasons to feel even more proud of this album than I already was,\u201d she reacted<\/a> to the feat in a statement at the time. \u201cThank you for going out to celebrate this project in the movie theaters, investing in vinyl, streaming, watching the video, buying CDs, reading the poems I wrote inside the packaging, and immersing yourselves in The Life of a Showgirl. I\u2019ll cherish this feeling forever.\u201d<\/p>\n A true millennial at heart, Swift has long been open about her love for \u201990s boy bands. In 2023, she freaked out <\/a>when the members of *NSYNC reunited on stage, shortly after which the group presented her with best pop video for eight-week Billboard Hot 100<\/a> No. 1 single \u201cAnti-Hero.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not doing well pivoting from this to this,\u201d she said in her acceptance speech, gesturing to Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez and Lance Bass lined up behind her. \u201cLike, I had your dolls \u2026 are you doing something? What\u2019s going to happen now?\u201d<\/p>\n McLean has also previously shared his love for Swift. \u201cShe is, by far, in my opinion, one of the most grounded, humble performers ever,\u201d he said <\/a>of the 14-time Grammy winner on the Getting Grilled With Curtis Stone podcast in 2024. \u201cShe\u2019s met my oldest [daughter] three times.
