\u201cToday\u201d host Savannah Guthrie<\/a> said Monday that a clunky attempt to ask Khloe Kardashian<\/a> a \u201cdishy\u201d question was a mistake she dearly regretted. (Watch the video below.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Prompted by Andy Cohen<\/a> asking Guthrie and her morning show colleagues about \u201can on-air blooper that you\u2019ll never repeat,\u201d Guthrie chimed in on a 2012 interview with the reality star.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI asked Khloe Kardashian like 10 seconds before we were going to break about the rumors that her father wasn\u2019t her father,\u201d Guthrie recalled, referring to rumors that the late Robert Kardashian, one of O.J. Simpson\u2019s defense attorneys, was not her real dad but that the fallen football star was<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cOh, that was so bad,\u201d Cohen added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI was so embarrassed because I felt like all this pressure,\u201d Guthrie continued. \u201cI just started, and I felt like the producers wanted me to ask this dishy question, but I didn\u2019t want to.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Guthrie said she let the time for a commercial break run down before she sprung her query. \u201cAnd Khloe, like, what about this rumor that Robert Kardashian\u2019s not really your father?\u201d she recalled asking as producers counted down from 10 seconds to commercial.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI was so embarrassed, and she was such a class act,\u201d Guthrie explained. \u201cShe\u2019s like, \u2018Ah, nothing to it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Guthrie looked back in relief.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWe made the break,\u201d she said. \u201cI asked the question I didn\u2019t want to. Khloe was a total class act and a doll.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
