John Stamos is defending his former \u201cFull House\u201d costar Lori Loughlin after her separation from husband Mossimo Giannulli<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201c40 years I\u2019ve known [Lori]. You can see through people after a few years, but this woman\u2019s a saint. It\u2019s hard to see, I\u2019m just heartbroken for her right now,\u201d Stamos, 62, said during a Monday, Oct. 20, appearance on Josh Peck\u2019s \u201cGood Guys\u201d podcast<\/a>. <\/p>\n Stamos and Loughlin, 61, played love interests Jesse Katsopolis and Rebecca Donaldson on \u201cFull House,\u201d which aired on ABC from 1987-1995. News broke earlier this month that Loughlin and Giannulli, 62, had separated after 27 years of marriage, and Stamos thinks Giannulli is to blame.<\/p>\n \u201cI know [Lori\u2019s] just devastated. For a girl who has lived her life really well \u2014 a good person, a good mother, a good wife, I know all this for a fact \u2014 to be thrown into this separation [that\u2019s] blowing up her family this way, I just hate to see her go through this,\u201d the actor said.<\/p>\n Stamos went on to call Giannulli a \u201cterrible narcissist.\u201d He believes that Giannulli was behind the decision to pay $500,000 in bribes to have his and Loughlin\u2019s daughters, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade, accepted to USC as members of the rowing team although neither of them were rowers. Both Loughlin and Giannulli served time in prison for their involvement in the college admissions scandal<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cWith the college scandal, I\u2019m not gonna debate whether [Lori] had much to do with it or not. I know she didn\u2019t,\u201d Stamos claimed. \u201cI know that she took a lot of the heat that her husband brought to that family. Mossimo, never been a big fan of that guy.\u201d<\/p>\n Stamos then recalled Loughlin being in the dark when the scandal first made headlines.<\/p>\n \u201cI called her. She was in Canada doing something for Hallmark [Channel]<\/a> at the time. \u2026 She goes, \u2018Mossimo handles all that stuff,\u2019\u201d Stamos said. \u201cShe goes to f\u2013ing prison for this a–hole for three months. \u2026 She didn\u2019t deserve to be dragged through that. I believe \u2014 I know for a fact \u2014 it was all him.\u201d<\/p>\n Many \u201cFull House\u201d fans have long speculated that there was a real-life romantic spark between Loughlin and Stamos. Lori was so sweet and I loved working with her, but she was too nice for me.\u201d<\/p>\n While things never worked out for them romantically, Stamos said that he\u2019s been there for Loughlin amid her separation, which his wife has been \u201cgood about.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI told [Lori], I said look, \u2018Whatever negativity or hardships you\u2019ve been through in your life, it\u2019s connected to this guy,\u2019\u201d Stamos said, noting that he will \u201cnever talk to\u201d Mossimo again. \u201cWhatever he did to her, it busted her up to the core.
