Ireland Baldwin<\/strong>, daughter of Kim Basinger<\/strong> and Alec Baldwin<\/strong><\/a>, recently opened up about her childhood and slammed unnamed members of her family.<\/p>\n

The former model, 29, said that she \u201cgrew up without two parents in my home and no siblings to turn to\u201d in a post on her Substack \u201c30, Flirty and Thriving<\/a>,\u201d but added that she\u2019s no longer affected by \u201cnarcissistic, unreliable, addict family members.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ireland said that she used to try to \u201cto win over certain people\u201d in her family.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir validation and praise was meaningful to me,\u201d she continued. \u201cNothing was more freeing than finally realizing how poisonous these people are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ireland never specified who she was referring to and said that as mom to 2-year-old daughter Holland<\/strong> she wanted to \u201cshow [her] how a real family treats one another.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also added a bulleted list of tips for readers as she gets ready to turn 30 on October 23, including a sweet nod to her mom, 71.<\/p>\n

Basinger and Alec, 67,<\/a> were married from 1993 to 2002, and in 2007, the former 30 Rock<\/em> star made headlines for a particularly heated voicemail he left for Ireland calling her a \u201crude and thoughtless pig.\u201d However, since then, the two have made amends.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt took a lot of time and a lot of therapy. We were both in really dark places in our lives,\u201d Ireland told Entertainment Tonight<\/em> in 2020, per E! News<\/em><\/a>. \u201cBut I love him, I respect him more than anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
