On October 16, news broke that KISS guitarist Ace Frehley<\/strong> died<\/a> at the age of 74 of complications after a fall, marking the end of an era for the rock band. He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history,\u201d they wrote. \u201cHe is and will always be a part of KISS\u2019s legacy. My thoughts are with Jeanette,\u00a0Monique\u00a0and all those who loved him, including our fans around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n Simmons also shared a message about Frehley on Instagram, writing, “No one can touch Ace’s legacy. I know he loved the fans. He told me many times. Sadder still, Ace didn’t live long enough to be honored at the Kennedy Ctr Honors event in Dec. Ace was the eternal rock soldier. Long may his legacy live on!”<\/p>\n So far, October is proving to be a challenging month for Simmons. On Oct. 8, the rock star was injured in a car crash<\/a> on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. According to a local NBC affiliate, at the time of the accident, Simmons told authorities that he had either passed out or fainted<\/a> behind the wheel of his Lincoln Navigator before hitting a parked car.<\/p>\n Though Simmons was transported to a hospital to treat his injuries afterwards, he also reassured fans who follow him on social media that he was doing just fine<\/a> the next day.<\/p>\n \u201cThanks, everybody, for the kind wishes,\u201d he wrote in a post on X on October 8. \u201cI\u2019m completely fine. I had a slight fender bender. It happens. Especially to those of us were horrible drivers. And that\u2019s me.
