They are now targeting a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.musicweek.com\/talent\/read\/the-last-dinner-party-target-second-consecutive-no-1-album\/092917\">second No.1 album<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Island EMI Label Group president\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.musicweek.com\/labels\/read\/island-emi-president-louis-bloom-on-the-q1-market-shares-triumph-and-lola-young-s-huge-no-1-result\/091709\">Louis Bloom<\/a>\u00a0said that if The Last Dinner Party&#8217;s\u00a0first record was about &#8220;introduction and impact&#8221;, the follow-up is\u00a0about &#8220;expansion and depth\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to make their world even more immersive, with bigger live moments, more daring visuals and a campaign that invites people into their universe,\u201d he said. \u201cFor existing fans, it\u2019s about rewarding that loyalty with evolution, not repetition. For new fans, it\u2019s about showing that this band aren\u2019t just a moment, but have an incredible career ahead of them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bloom contended that From The Pyre \u201cis more mature, and, in places, darker; there\u2019s a depth and an intensity that shows just how much they\u2019ve grown\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThe ambition is to take that and translate it into an even bigger cultural moment,\u201d he added. \u201cThat means continued live growth in the UK and Europe, breaking through further in America and solidifying their place as one of the most important bands of their generation.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>When I first saw them play it was clear to me that Abigail Morris is a major superstar<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\" dir=\"ltr\">Peter Mensch<\/p>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Having signed TLDP before they had released any music, Bloom said the label was &#8220;amazed with how fully formed they were from the get-go&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI knew they had something special, but watching them go from those early gigs to becoming one of the most talked about new bands globally has been extraordinary,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.musicweek.com\/management\/read\/there-s-nobody-even-close-to-them-q-prime-s-peter-mensch-talks-about-metallica-s-record-breaking-2017\/070817\">Peter Mensch<\/a>, co-founder of Q Prime Management, was equally convinced the band were the real deal from the start.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWhen I first saw them play it was clear to me that Abigail Morris is a major superstar,\u201d said Mensch.\u00a0\u201cIn a nutshell, I looked at them and said, \u2018Holy shit!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Nevertheless, the band have still put in the hard yards on the touring circuit.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThey played every pub toilet in England, Wales and Scotland when they started off,\u201d said Mensch. \u201cThat\u2019s how you develop, you become a better live band, your material gets honed\u2026 For a rock band, you are trying to make the best 10-song album, the best 40 minutes of music and your hope is that you just keep pounding away.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>The new music continues to blaze a trail, they don\u2019t follow fashion and are completely authentic to themselves<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\" dir=\"ltr\">Emma Banks<\/p>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Last Dinner Party are guided on the live scene by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.musicweek.com\/live\/read\/caa-s-emma-banks-on-the-year-of-new-headliners\/092098\">CAA&#8217;s Emma Banks<\/a>, \u00a0co-head of CAA&#8217;s London office\/co-head of global touring, and will begin a 35-date headline tour of Europe and Australia in November, including two nights at London&#8217;s O2 Academy Brixton. They played a launch party for fans at Hoxton Hall last week.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the first time I saw the band play and then the first time I met them, it was clear that this was a group that had a true vision and a strong sense of self,\u201d said Banks. \u201cEach member contributes to the whole in a way that you rarely see; it\u2019s a group of women with strong opinions, high ethical standards and a will to win.
