Digital music libraries can now be made compatible across multiple brands of DJ hardware thanks to a new software spearheaded by Pioneer DJ<\/a>‘s parent company AlphaTheta.<\/p>\n OneLibrary<\/a> has been created in\u00a0collaboration with Algoriddim and Native Instruments, and allow DJs’ libraries to work seamlessly across\u00a0 rekordbox, djay Pro and Traktor software. The new unified music library format will standardise digital music data and settings so DJs can keep cue points, playlists, beat grids and other customisations consistent across the multiple brands’ kit and avoid unnecessary tech frustrations stemming from incompatibilities at various venues with different tools.\u00a0<\/p>\n “Collaborating with AlphaTheta on OneLibrary aligns perfectly with our mission to remove barriers in the DJ ecosystem”, Algoriddim GmbH CEO Karim Morsy said in a press statement. “By allowing users to export djay Pro\u2019s library for direct use on pro hardware like the CDJ-3000X, CDJ-3000, or the XDJ-AZ, we\u2019re giving DJs the flexibility to perform seamlessly across setups \u2014 whether at home, in the club, or on stage.”<\/p>\n OneLibrary is “basically the same” as rekordbox’s Device Library Plus, according to the FAQ, and the two are “fully compatible”. “We plan to gradually rename Device Library Plus to OneLibrary”, the FAQ reads.<\/p>\n AlphaTheta intends to bring other DJ software and hardware into the mix in the future.\u00a0<\/p>\n Find out more about OneLibrary here.<\/a><\/p>\n Last month, AlphaTheta announced its next flagship media player, the CDJ-3000X<\/a>.
