During the Wednesday, October 22, episode of the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast<\/a>, host Alex Cooper<\/strong><\/a> asked the former Spice Girls<\/a> singer about parenting in the public eye. Victoria\u2019s response seemed to be rather telling.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a mom, I\u2019m sure you\u2019re always just worried about your kids,\u201d Cooper, 31, said. \u201cWhat is the hardest part about stepping back and letting them make their own decisions as adults?\u201d<\/p>\n

Victoria, 51, prefaced her answer by saying that she and husband David Beckham<\/strong> have \u201csuch a close family,\u201d which includes kids Brooklyn, 36, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper 14.<\/p>\n

\u201cCommunication is key. And we always let them know that anything that they wanna talk about, this is a safe forum. That\u2019s really important,\u201d Victoria said. \u201cThey\u2019ve gotta go on their journeys themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cOur kids are genuinely all really good, sweet, kind, human beings. You know, being kind is so important. Hardworking. They don\u2019t expect anything to just happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rumors swirled following Brooklyn\u2019s 2022 wedding to wife Nicola Peltz<\/strong> that the couple had issues with his family<\/a>. (It was widely reported that there was tension between Victoria and Nicola, 30, around the nuptials.)<\/p>\n

Things appeared to come to a head in May when the couple skipped out on David\u2019s 50th birthday party, with sources explaining that their absence came because Brooklyn did not approve of Romeo\u2019s girlfriend Kim Turnbull<\/strong>. (Romeo and Turnbull split in June but have reportedly reconciled.)<\/p>\n

A separate source told Us Weekly exclusively earlier this month that Brooklyn still has \u201cno interest\u201d<\/a> in reconciling with his family.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s really focused on living a peaceful, drama-free life with Nicola,\u201d the insider explained. \u201cThey\u2019ve built their own world together and are very content in it. They want to let things settle naturally rather than trying to fix something that still feels tense.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source told Us<\/em> there is \u201cstill a huge rift\u201d between Brooklyn, his parents and his brothers. \u201cThe relationships are all still strained,\u201d the insider added.<\/p>\n

According to the source, it was \u201cheartbreaking\u201d for the parents of four to \u201cnot have all their children together during huge press events for the family,\u201d referring to the release of Victoria\u2019s Netflix documentary<\/a> on October 9.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was such a big moment for the family, and she wanted everyone together to celebrate it,\u201d the insider added, noting that David \u201cfeels the same way\u201d as his wife.<\/p>\n
