EJAE, the singer-songwriter who co-wrote the soundtrack of the Netflix smash hit film KPop Demon Hunters<\/em><\/a>, teased a clip from her upcoming single on Instagram.<\/p>\n The video shared on EJAE\u2019s Instagram account shows a hand writing the words: \u201cI was thinking bout space, and not the one between us\u201d onto a notepad, which match the lyrics to a song sung in the background. The same words are featured in the caption of the post. The clip ends with a view of a grand piano, with sheets of paper on the floor around it.<\/p>\n The singer-songwriter shared the reel in her Stories with a \u201cpresave link\u201d to her upcoming single \u201cIn Another World,\u201d which will be released on Friday.<\/p>\n The teaser comes as EJAE was announced on Wednesday to have signed with\u00a0WME, the global talent agency representing some of the biggest stars of Hollywood. \u00a0<\/p>\n EJAE announced her upcoming single in a previous Instagram post on October 5, the day after her appearance on Saturday Night Live<\/em>. The post came just days before her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em><\/a>, during which she performed her hit track \u201cGolden,\u201d with the other two singing voices behind the film<\/a>\u2019s fictional K-pop<\/a> girl band HUNTR\/X.<\/p>\n Reflecting on her \u201ccrazy\u201d rise to global fame as the singing voice of the Rumi character from KPop Demon Hunters<\/em>, EJAE said in her October 5 post: \u201cFor years, writing has been my therapy, my way of coping, celebrating, making sense of the noise in my head. Along the way, I wrote some songs that never found the right home. I\u2019ve decided I want my artist project to give life to those songs, so people can laugh, dance, or cry with me and the amazing collaborators who helped create them.\u201d<\/p>\n She added: \u201cThere\u2019s one song that feels like the perfect place to start. Writing this song helped me through a hard time, and I hope that sharing it can help others too. It\u2019s called \u2018In Another World\u2019 and is releasing on 10\/24\/25.\u201d<\/p>\n Co-directed by Maggie Kang<\/a> and Chris Appelhans<\/a>, KPop Demon Hunters <\/em>follows HUNTR\/X, whose other mission in life, when not selling out arenas, is to chase away any demons who try to take human souls from the Earth. They later meet a rival group called the Saja Boys, demons disguised as a boy band looking to catch human souls.<\/p>\n In addition to \u201cGolden,\u201d EJAE also co-wrote other songs from the soundtrack, including \u00a0\u201cHow It’s Done,\u201d “What It Sounds Like,\u201d as well as The Saja Boys track “Your Idol,\u201d according to her agency. <\/p>\n Beyond her work on\u00a0KPop Demon Hunters<\/em>, EJAE has also written, vocal-directed, and contributed background vocals for various major K-pop artists. Some of her K-pop credits include aespa’s “Drama” and “Armageddon,” Red Velvet’s “Psycho,” and songs with artists such as Le Sserafim, TWICE, Taeyeon, NMIXX, and Fifty Fifty.<\/p>\n
