Exclusive: TomKat Media<\/a> and Killer Films<\/a> have entered into a creative alliance that will see them jointly produce several projects. Under the pact, TomKat<\/a> will provide development funding for various Killer projects, with Killer co-producing select TomKat films.<\/p>\n

Projects include an adaptation of Duff Wilson<\/a>\u2019s Pulitzer finalist eco-thriller Fateful Harvest, penned by Daniel Stiepleman<\/a> (On the Basis of Sex<\/a>). Based on a Seattle Times<\/a> investigative series reported by Wilson that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, Fateful Harvest tells the story of Patty Martin<\/a> \u2014 the mayor of a small Washington town called Quincy \u2014 who discovers American industries are dumping toxic waste into farmers\u2019 fields and home gardens by labeling it \u201cfertilizer.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also Box No. 1, a feature drama about the cover-up of love letters between Eleanor Roosevelt<\/a> and journalist Lorena \u201cHick\u201d Hickok, which TomKat\u2019s Marcela Davison Aviles<\/a> is scripting.<\/p>\n
