Golden Bachelor<\/a><\/em> star Mel Owens<\/a><\/strong> is keeping fans guessing ahead of the ABC series\u2019 highly anticipated finale<\/a> \u2014 and if his latest interview is any indication, viewers should brace for a surprising finish.<\/p>\n In an interview with Us Weekly<\/a>, the 66-year-old former NFL linebacker offered just enough detail to spark speculation while refusing to give away the outcome. Calling the ending \u201cbrilliant,\u201d Owens promised that fans \u201cwon\u2019t believe\u201d how his season wraps up.<\/p>\n \u201cYou have the setting, and I know who it is,\u201d he said of his final choice. \u201cIt\u2019s really emotional. Owens says he was more focused on the positives. \u201cI\u2019m looking for deal-makers,\u201d he told Us. \u201cMy best fit would be someone who is fun and high-energy \u2014 someone who is witty, a lifelong learner I can be curious with and learn from.\u201d<\/p>\n And while he wouldn\u2019t spoil the ending, Owens\u2019 confidence in his final decision hints at a love story worth watching.<\/p>\n \u201cYou won\u2019t believe how we get there,\u201d he teased. \u201cNot mechanically, but how we get there emotionally.
