BRATTLEBORO \u2014 The Brattleboro Museum & Art Center presents \u201cGrace and Grandeur: Baroque Masterpieces from France and Germany,\u201d a concert by Ensemble Amphion Baroque, on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. Admission is $25 ($15 for BMAC members). Led by Vermont-based flutist Jesse Lepkoff, Ensemble Amphion Baroque consists of musicians specializing in historically informed performance on period instruments: Marina Minkin (harpsichord), Na\u2019ama Lion (baroque flute), Carol Lewis (viola da gamba), and Owen Wattkins (baroque oboe, recorder). The group seeks to conjure the spirit and sound of the 18th century, drawing listeners into the elegance and emotional breadth of Baroque chamber music.<\/p>\n
The Oct. 25 program features works by Fran\u00e7ois Couperin, Marin Marais, Louis-Antoine Dornel, Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Joachim Quantz, and others.<\/p>\n
