It may have taken 13 years for Avatar: The Way of Water<\/a> to hit theaters after its 2009 predecessor. But the third film, Fire and Ash, will be hitting the big screen in just a couple of months. Now, singer and actress Miley Cyrus<\/a> has revealed her involvement.<\/p>\n In the next installment of the Avatar franchise, Jake Sully and his family will be up against a new threat. The Ash People (or the Mangkwan Clan) are an aggressive, fiery tribe, allying with the previous movies\u2019 antagonist, Colonel Quaritch.<\/p>\n Fire and Ash will also introduce another new tribe called the Wind Traders. Harry Potter\u2019s David Thewlis<\/a> will play its leader, Peylak. We\u2019ll also be seeing the Sully family forever changed by the tragic death<\/a> of Neteyam, Jake and Neytiri\u2019s eldest son.<\/p>\n Cyrus will take part by recording an original song for the movie.<\/p>\n So far, each Avatar movie has featured an original song. For example, Leona Lewis\u2019 \u201cI See You\u201d was for the first movie. As for Way of Water, The Weeknd<\/a> released \u201cNothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength).\u201d Miley Cyrus announced on her Instagram<\/a> that she\u2019ll be the next to contribute a new song for Fire and Ash. She shared what the track, titled \u201cDream As One,\u201d means to her.<\/p>\n \u201cHonored to support Avatar: Fire and Ash with an original song I\u2019ve written with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me,\u201d said Cyrus. \u201cThank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine. The film\u2019s themes of unity, healing, and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to be even a small star in the universe the Avatar family has created is truly a dream come true.\u201d<\/p>\n Many Instagram users have commented that, based on the song\u2019s brief snippet she teased, Miley Cyrus could be on the cusp of Oscar greatness.
