Miley Cyrus has been tapped to record a new song, \u201cDream As One,\u201d for the upcoming third installment in director\/writer James Cameron\u2019s Avatar <\/em>series, Fire and Ash<\/em>, which will arrive in theaters on Dec. 19. The track will be released Nov. 14 through Columbia\/Sony.<\/p>\n Cyrus contributed to the song\u2019s music and lyrics in tandem with Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson and the Grammy-winning Simon Franglen, who also composed the film score. \u201cDream As One\u201d will be heard during Fire and Ash<\/em>\u2018s end credits and will be featured on its original soundtrack, due Dec. 12.<\/p>\n \u201cHonored to support Avatar: Fire and Ash<\/em> with an original song I\u2019ve written with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt,\u201d Cyrus wrote in an Instagram post<\/a> that teases a portion of the song. \u201cHaving been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me. Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine. The film\u2019s themes of unity, healing and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to be even a small star in the universe the Avatar <\/em>family has created is truly a dream come true.\u201d<\/p>\n Fire and Ash<\/em> stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet and Edie Falco. It\u2019s the follow-up to 2022\u2019s The Way of Water<\/em>, which was itself the sequel to the 2009 original. Two additional films are expected in 2029 and 2031.<\/p>\n As for Cyrus, she has kept a low profile following the summer release of her ninth album, Something Beautiful<\/em>, which was accompanied by a musical film of the same name that\u2019s available on Disney+ and Hulu.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
