Pensacola baker Shanelle Long makes her return to television screens<\/a> this month in her appearance on new Food Network series “Bake Master Battle.”<\/a><\/p>\n The series premiered on Oct. 22 on Food Network and streamed on Citytv+<\/a>, and Long will appear the second Halloween episode the following week at 7 p.m. on Oct. 29.<\/p>\n Long, who is known for making off-the-wall creative cakes, appeared on a Halloween Amazon Prime mini-series called “Killer Cakes,” which aired last year and gave her exposure for “Bake Master Battle” casting directors.<\/p>\n \u201cThey really loved what I did,\u201d Long said.<\/p>\n Long will now join the growing list of Pensacola\u2019s family of Food Network stars, including James Briscione<\/a>, Ed Lordman<\/a> and Darian Hernandez.<\/a><\/p>\n Long was a longtime cake decorator at J\u2019s Bakery and now works for herself at her own cottage bakery, Indulgence Bakehouse<\/a>, serving scratch-made sourdough breads, 15 varieties of SINnamon rolls and of course, her eye-catching custom cakes.<\/p>\n Since creating her own bakery, she has been able to take on more opportunities such as competing on “Bake Master Battle,” which she traveled to film in Toronto, Canada, where they filmed the episode from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.<\/p>\n Not only does she enjoy the improvisation and challenge of the show, but she also appreciated the opportunity to meet and get to know her cake idols.<\/p>\n
