Australian singer\/songwriter Nick Murphy will return early next year with his first album in nearly five years under his Chet Faker moniker. A Love for Strangers<\/em> will arrive Feb. 13 from BMG and includes new single \u201cThis Time for Real,\u201d a Josh Wehle-directed video for which is out now.<\/p>\n

Murphy\u2019s last full-length at Chet Faker was 2021\u2019s Hotel Surrender<\/em>, although he has released a handful of singles in the past three years. The new album is described as \u201cChet Faker at his effortlessly anthemic best \u2014 and his most cheekily self-referential \u2014 as he addresses the balanced weight of expectation that comes with success as an artist.\u201d<\/p>\n
