Glenn Close<\/a> will join the cast of the \u201cLa bola negra<\/a>,\u201d an original film produced by Movistar Plus+<\/a> and Suma Content Films in co-production with Pedro and Agust\u00edn Almod\u00f3var<\/a>\u2019s El Deseo<\/a> and France\u2019s Le Pacte.<\/p>\n

\u201cLa Bola Negra<\/a>\u201d is written, directed and produced by Spanish filmmakers Javier Calvo<\/a> and Javier Ambrossi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Close<\/a> will head the cast alongside Penelope Cruz<\/a>, Guitarricadelafuente, making his acting debut, Miguel Bernardeau<\/a> (\u201c\u00c9lite\u201d), Carlos Gonz\u00e1lez<\/a> (\u201cVeneno\u201d) and Lola Due\u00f1as<\/a> (\u201cLa Mes\u00edas<\/a>\u201d).<\/p>\n

Interweaving the interconnected lives of three men in three different eras, \u201cLa Bola Negra<\/a>\u201d depicts three lives intimately linked by sexuality and desire, pain and inheritance and also incorporates one of Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca<\/a>\u2019s last, unfinished works.<\/p>\n

It marks Calvo<\/a> and Ambrossi\u2019s return to filmmaking after creating series \u201cVeneno<\/a>\u201d and \u201cLa Mes\u00edas<\/a>\u201d which established them as one of the most exciting young film-tv creative duos in Europe.<\/p>\n
