Spanish Love Songs have shared another song from their upcoming four-track EP.<\/p>\n
Offering upbeat melodies that contrast with\u00a0Dylan Slocum\u2019s reflective vocals, the bittersweet Heavenhead features Sarah Tudzin of Illuminati Hotties\u00a0and explores the unsettling feeling that happiness won’t last. Slocum said:<\/p>\n
“We\u2019ve been huge fans of Sarah and\u00a0her work both with Illuminati Hotties and as a producer for some time now. Collin Pastore, who produced \u2018No Joy\u2019,\u00a0had recommended we work with her as soon as we possibly could. The vibe of the song felt perfect for her, and it turns out we were correct! She crushed it and elevated the song to an entirely different level! Now I\u2019m just sad I can\u2019t have her harmonizing with me on every song.”<\/p>\n
Tudzin added: “When Dylan reached out about guesting on a track it was a yes, no question, before even hearing it. I\u2019ve\u00a0loved\u00a0the records SLS has put out, and this track delivers in the most epic way – it\u2019s a windows down, volume ALL the way up chorus and I couldn\u2019t help but sing along!”<\/p>\n
The track marks the latest preview of ‘A Brief Intermission in the Flattening of Time’, due out on November 21 via\u00a0Pure Noise Records. The Los Angeles emo-punks previously teased the project with\u00a0Cocaine And Lexapro<\/a> featuring Kevin Devine, and Berlin<\/a> with Tigers Jaw.\u00a0The other song\u00a0on the EP is titled Lifers Too, a collaboration with The Wonder Years.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Spanish Love Songs are currently amid a UK tour, which continues with a performance in Manchester tonight, before\u00a0gigs in London and Leeds as part of the\u00a0Common Thread Tour<\/a><\/em>\u00a0with Tigers Jaw. Tickets are on sale now.<\/p>\n
