Ilan Rubin<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 has released a new single called \u201cAsking for a Friend.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\tDave Grohl penned a lengthy paragraph about Foo Fighters, saying their return to the stage has reminded them of \u201cwhy we love and are forever devoted\u201d to their music and tour. Of the new single, he wrote, \u201c\u2018Asking for a Friend\u2019 is a song for those who have waited patiently in the cold, relying on hope and faith for their horizon to appear. \n\tKicking off Aug. 4 at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, the new tour will have Queens of the Stone Age as direct support on all dates except Sept. 12 in Fargo. The current lineup of shows ends on Sept. 26 at Las Vegas\u2019 Allegiant Stadium. <\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cSince our return to the stage in San Luis Obispo five weeks ago, we have been reminded of why we love and are forever devoted to doing this Foo Fighters thing,\u201d Grohl continued. \u201cFrom reuniting as a band and staring at a list of 30 years worth of songs to brush off, to reimagining versions with the incredible blessing of the one and only Ilan Rubin behind the drums, to reconnecting with our amazing fans and blasting them with everything we\u2019ve got (no matter the size of the venue) because we would not be here without them, we have the most solid core. And the sun is finally rising over the horizon.\u201d <\/p>\n
\n\tGrohl\u2019s post also called attention to his relationship with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, saying they have shared some of \u201clife\u2019s most rewarding musical moments\u201d as friends. \u201cA lifelong bond that goes far beyond the sound we\u2019ve made together,\u201d he wrote. \u201cSo it is with great happiness that we can share this next chapter together with his almighty Queens of the Stone Age.\u201d <\/p>\n
\n\tThese dates are the first stadium trek for Foo Fighters since the 2023-2024 \u201cEverything or Nothing at All\u201d run. General on sale for all shows starts Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. local time. <\/p>\n
