A name that evokes both Marco Ferreri<\/strong>\u2019s La Grande Bouffe<\/em> (1973) and the scandalous banquet in ancient Rome.<\/p>\n There was just one problem\u2026 By July 2020, American saxophonist Kamasi Washington<\/strong> had already formed The Dinner Party, a \u201csupergroup\u201d that includes pianist Robert Glasper<\/strong> and composers 9th Wonder<\/strong> and Terrace Martin<\/strong> \u2013 one of the architects behind Kendrick Lamar<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s masterpiece To Pimp A Butterfly<\/em>. The Dinner Party had to become The Last Dinner Party.<\/p>\n About eight months ago, the quintet burst onto the scene with the track Nothing Matters<\/em><\/strong>. The tone was set.
