Derek Hough’s appearance on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune caused such a stir, the show needed to implement a new rule<\/a> into the game.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been less than a month since Dancing with the Stars<\/a>\u2019 pro dancer Jenna Johnson and judges Derek and Bruno Tonioli competed on the hit game show.<\/p>\n

The crossover segment had fans in a frenzy, especially after the awkward moment when host Ryan Seacrest reminded Derek he dated his sister Julianne<\/a>. After that, the tension was palpable, however, there was another uneasy moment that shifted things even further.<\/p>\n

During a recent interview with USA Today<\/a>, the 50-year-old host revealed a rowdy moment occurred when the cameras weren\u2019t rolling.<\/p>\n

In the middle of a commercial break, Derek had jumped on the show\u2019s 2,400-pound wheel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe had to sort of say, \u2018Stick to the ledge,\u2019\u201d he mentioned.<\/p>\n

Once Derek heard of Ryan\u2019s claims, he rushed to deny them. The dancer took to Instagram with a screenshot of the article and a caption that read, \u201cBtw, this is 1000% NOT true. I would never disrespect a set like that however Awesome that would\u2019ve been to be \u2018spun around it like a cake ornament\u2019 haha.”<\/p>\n

While fans wait to hear if Ryan responds, the host said he was happy they appeared on the show. He even said their \u201cvery physical\u201d antics made the segment \u201cfun.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cKnowing someone, or being friends, is definitely helpful,\u201d Ryan said. \u201cYou can kind of tease them more than somebody you don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Derek and Ryan\u2019s friendship dates back to the early 2010s when the host was dating the dancer\u2019s sister Julianne<\/a>. Julianne and Ryan first met in 2010 when she appeared on his radio show with her then-boyfriend, Chuck Wicks. After Julianne and Chuck split later that year, she and Ryan went on their first date.<\/p>\n

The two dated for three years before splitting due to Julianne wanting a career that wasn\u2019t tied to his success.<\/p>\n

While appearing on Dax Shepard\u2019s podcast Armchair Expert, she said, “I remember when I decided to break things off, I had a lot of these Brentwood moms and producers in that world that were like, ‘What are you doing?'”<\/p>\n

\u200b\u200b”They’re like, ‘Your life is completely set up.’ And I was like, But I didn’t build it,'” she continued. “I was like, ‘I need to create this. Competitively, it’s not mine. I need to feel the pride of doing it.'”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
