Prince Andrew has seen his coat of arms torn down from Windsor Castle amid fresh allegations about his relationships with billionaire paedophile\u00a0Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>\u00a0and sex abuse victim Virginia Giuffre<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His coat of arms\u00a0features the\u00a0three lions of\u00a0England and an anchor for his naval career but it can no longer be seen next to Prince William\u2019s banner in St George\u2019s Chapel.<\/p>\n

The unceremonious removal of a coat of arms is usually reserved for serious cases of high treason or taking up arms against the Crown.<\/p>\n

A palace insider told The Sun<\/a>: \u2018It was removed at the most convenient moment.\u2019<\/p>\n

It came as the former Duke of York<\/a> believes the King is trying to force him out of his Windsor property so he can gift it to his wife Queen Camilla, The Telegraph reports.<\/p>\n

Prince Andrew has so far dug his heels in to stay in the property close to Windsor Castle where he\u00a0lives rent-free, despite coming under\u00a0pressure from MPs\u00a0to downsize.<\/p>\n

It also emerged the disgraced prince\u2019s lease agreement was redacted to conceal his \u2018peppercorn rent\u2019 he has had in place for two decades.<\/p>\n

The uncensored version says Andrew is obligated \u2018to pay the rent if demanded\u2019.<\/p>\n

But the version sent to the Land Registry and a matter of public record states an obligation \u2018to pay the rent\u2019, with the words \u2018if demanded\u2019 removed.<\/p>\n

Andrew believes he has a \u2018cast-iron\u2019 lease on his 30-room property, so tight even his older brother the King can\u2019t evict him.<\/p>\n

Research from The Spectator suggests he should have paid more than \u00a316million in rent in that period.<\/p>\n

The Spectator asked a Windsor-based estate agent, Marshalls, how much rent would cost for the Royal Lodge.<\/p>\n

They said: \u2018We would feel confident of achieving \u00a367,000pcm for this property including the various cottages in the grounds, meaning Andrew should be paying \u00a3804,000 a year in rent.<\/p>\n

\u2018In the marketing we\u2019d emphasise the local benefits such as the two Windsor mainline stations, the motorway network and Heathrow<\/a>, the off street parking as well as some of the interesting neighbours.\u2019<\/p>\n

It came after the former\u00a0Duke of York,<\/a> relinquished his official titles amid the ongoing allegations about paedophile\u00a0Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0sex abuse victim Virginia Giuffre<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The prince is alleged to have met escorts and \u2018high society\u2019 Thai ladies drawn to\u00a0his royal status<\/a>, including while he was in the country as a roving UK ambassador of trade.<\/p>\n

Polling by Ipsos conducted earlier this week found 88% believe it was right for\u00a0Andrew\u00a0to give up his titles.<\/p>\n

Prince Andrew\u00a0announced on Saturday that he would be giving up his royal titles<\/a>\u00a0following \u2018discussion with the King\u2019. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The move comes amid the continued allegations and testimony from Giuffre, who died by suicide in April, and others about Epstein\u2019s sex trafficking ring. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
