Justin Baldoni<\/strong> and his team used technology to hide their tracks as they plotted to destroy<\/a> Blake Lively<\/strong>\u2019s reputation, her lawyers argued in new legal documents filed on Wednesday, October 22.<\/p>\n \u201cDefendants have hid the ball at every turn in the discovery process, either failing to produce documents, or improperly cloaking them in the attorney-client privilege,\u201d they claimed in the filing, which was obtained by Star<\/em>.<\/p>\n The It Ends with Us<\/em> costars have been engaged in a legal battle<\/a> that began when the A Simple Favor<\/em> star, 38, filed a lawsuit in December 2024 accusing the Jane the Virgin<\/em> alum, 41, of sexual harassment<\/a> and alleging that he launched a public smear campaign against her.<\/p>\n Now that all of the documents have been produced by Baldoni\u2019s side, the newest document accuses the defendants \u2014 including Baldoni, his associates at Wayfarer productions and publicists they hired \u2014 of making \u201cclumsy efforts to cover their tracks.\u201d<\/p>\n There is still \u201csubstantial evidence\u201d of their plans to retaliate against the Gossip Girl<\/em> alum, as well as efforts to conceal their communications in anticipation of her litigation, according to documents.<\/p>\n Lively\u2019s lawyers also claim the defendants and their lawyers \u201cdestroyed and\/or failed to preserve\u201d more evidence by using auto-deleted voice memos and messages on the Signal app.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is clear that the messages are destroyed and cannot be replaced,\u201d the lawyers added. \u201cThis fact is all the more damning given that the Wayfarer Defendants\u2019 lead attorney, Bryan Freedman<\/strong>, was a participant on at least some Signal communications with the Defendants by August 2024, and yet apparently did nothing to ensure these key communications were preserved.\u201d<\/p>\n![\"The](\"https:\/\/staging.starmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/blake-lively-justin-baldoni-2024-88329186.webp\")
