He explained: “I would have played it slightly differently with hindsight; not being quite so involved, not being quite so enthusiastic, wide eyed and forthcoming with theories.<\/p>\n
“Claudia said, ‘You know, remember, keep your eyes open at all times’, or something like that.<\/p>\n
“I was certainly doing that in observing everyone, not sure I was subtle enough about that which possibly put a massive target on my back!”.<\/p>\n
Although gutted about his departure, Mark hopes it made for compelling television after becoming the first ever player to be eliminated via the Chest of Chance.<\/p>\n
He remarked: “I’m really glad David’s a Faithful and I really hope he doesn’t go. I think he’s a real asset to them and I hope suspicions about him disappear very quickly. That I can’t see happening though.<\/p>\n
“Having that roundtable decided by the Chest of Chance was very dramatic and it was very emotional.<\/p>\n
“I got so caught up in it all, but I hope it was a good TV moment. Even though I was sad to go, I thought, well, they’ve never done that before!”<\/p>\n
The 56 year old star later discovered the identities of Traitors Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Cat Burns on spin-off programme Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked and was unable to conceal his astonishment and anger.<\/p>\n
He declared: “‘Jonathan f***ing Ross! Well played he is really good at it.<\/p>\n
“Man, Cat, she is good. I thought she was 100% faithful. This is exhausting!”.<\/p>\n
“Oh, it’s Alan. Well played though. You know what, on our way out from the table, I was beside him and I glance at him and he was like [head down] and I never mentioned that again.”<\/p>\n
Sir Stephen Fry also departed the game in Thursday’s episode, whilst viewers will need to wait until next week to discover whether the Traitors have chosen to eliminate Lucy Beaumont, Kate Garraway or Nick Mohammed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
