Selena Gomez appeared “confident” as she made her way to dinner after her feud with Hailey Bieber was reignited<\/a>, according to a body language expert.<\/p>\n The 33-year-old singer<\/a> was spotted treating her mom Mandy Teefey to dinner at the upscale restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica on Thursday.<\/p>\n The outing came just days after Selena hit back at Hailey after the Rhode founder<\/a>, 28, opened up about being pitted against Selena. Hailey admitted she finds the comparisons “annoying” and said she “doesn’t feel competitive with people she’s not inspired by.”<\/p>\n Selena ignored the drama during her California<\/a> outing, where she was photographed with her mom and several bodyguards. The Only Murders in the Building star wore a beige knit dress which she paired with a chic white coat.<\/p>\n Commenting on the outing, body language expert Judi James told The Express US, “Selena’s styling projects specialness and status: it’s a similar look to the one currently loved by women like Meghan Markle<\/a>, with the simple superiority statement of the white coat; the equally simple and elegantly scraped back hair, and the soft, ‘bare-face’ natural but glowing make-up.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Judi continued, “It’s a pared-back look of confidence, with the white clothing suggesting wealth (Not suitable for public transport or messy diners) while demanding eye-attention.”<\/p>\n The expert said there are “some symptoms of confidence and even resilience from her body language here, particularly from the raised chin.” However, she admitted Selena’s “eye ‘ignore’ of a rather blank eye expression as she walks past the cameras looks less assured.”<\/p>\n Judi added, “And her grip on her bag seems to suggest a desire to self-protect. The bag is cradled in one hand and then there is a tense-looking, clawed grip on it from the other.”<\/p>\n For her outing, Selena carried around a white handbag and wore matching ballet flats. She opted for a minimal makup look and pulled her hair back off her face.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The actress recently clapped back at Hailey’s comments, saying the model can “say what she wants, it doesn’t affect my life.”<\/p>\n In a post, Selena shared, “She can say whatever she wants. Doesn’t affect my life whatsoever. It’s just about relevance not intelligence. Be kind. All brands inspire me.<\/p>\n “There is room for everyone. And hopefully we can all stop.” She also urged fans to “leave the girl alone.”<\/p>\n
