The source adds, \u201cTheir friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn\u2019t met a lot of her friends yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pop star, 40, recently left a \u201clike\u201d on an Instagram post from parody newspaper The Onion, which shared a story on Monday, October 20, referencing Perry\u2019s relationship with the former Canadian prime minister, 53. \u201cKaty [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Perry, 40, first sparked romance rumors with Trudeau, 53, in July when the former politician was spotted on a dinner date with the pop star in Montreal following her split from former fianc\u00e9 Orlando Bloom<\/strong>. (Perry shares daughter Daisy Dove, 5, with Bloom, 48, and was previously married to Russell Brand<\/strong> from 2010 to 2012.) Trudeau was subsequently spotted attending her Lifetimes<\/em> tour stop in the Canadian city.<\/p>\n

For his part, Trudeau announced his separation from Sophie Gr\u00e9goire Trudeau<\/strong> \u2014 with whom he shares three children \u2014 after 18 years of marriage in 2023. He served as the prime minister of Canada from 2015 until March of this year.<\/p>\n

Multiple sources confirmed to Us<\/em><\/a> in September that the unlikely duo were quietly seeing each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve decided to be much more private about it. \u2026 They are still speaking and are very interested in each other,\u201d one source told Us<\/em> at the time, while another added that their relationship \u201cisn\u2019t serious\u201d since Perry was \u201cextremely busy\u201d on tour.<\/p>\n

\u201cJustin has made plans to see her when she has downtime in a few weeks when she gets back from her tour in Brazil,\u201d the second insider said, referring to the short break Perry had before the European leg of her tour began on October 4. \u201cKaty is taking it day by day but is very open to dating.\u201d<\/p>\n
