Filipino influencer Emman Atienza<\/strong> has died<\/a>. She was 19.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our daughter and sister, Emman,\u201d a joint Thursday, October 23, Instagram<\/a> statement from Atienza\u2019s parents and siblings read. \u201cShe brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her relatives added, \u201cEmman had a way of making people feel seen and heard, and she wasn\u2019t afraid to share her own journey with mental health. Her authenticity helped so many feel less alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Atienza\u2019s parents further had a simple request for fans hoping to \u201chonor Emman\u2019s memory.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Atienza died by suicide, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records viewed by Us Weekly.<\/i><\/p>\n

Emman was the daughter of wellness entrepreneur Felicia Hung Atienza<\/strong> and TV host Kim Atienza<\/strong>, who also have two other children together.<\/p>\n

While Felicia and Kim\u2019s statement did not mention the cause of Emman\u2019s death, the TikTok personality had previously been candid about struggling with her mental health<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI came into 2024 [questioning] if I even wanted to live to see the end of it. I\u2019ve dealt with treatment-resistant mental illness since I was 12,\u201d Emman wrote in a January<\/a> social media post. \u201cIn my eyes, I was only getting worse as the years progressed. For half of my teen years, I was bullied.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI vented and trauma-dumped to friends so often that they eventually grew tired of hearing it \u2014 understandably so. I lied to my therapist abut getting better because I was scared they\u2019d be disappointed if I kept admitting that I didn\u2019t want to live.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emman further revealed that she \u201crelapsed in self-harm\u201d on her birthday in 2024 before undergoing intensive therapy sessions in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe online community is honoring the lives of several social media influencers who died in 2025. On April 1, nursing influencer Hailey Okula died at age 33 after giving birth to her first child. Husband Matthew Okula shared that his wife died from amniotic fluid embolism and was able to briefly meet their baby before [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cDuring that time, I processed past traumas and hit new lows,\u201d she recalled. \u201cI\u2019d come back from therapy sessions screaming into my pillow or crying in the bathtub. \u2026 When I returned to the Philippines, I had a fresh perspective but low optimism and deep doubts about whether I could truly get better.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the same time, Emman also felt \u201cdetermined to make changes\u201d in her life.<\/p>\n

\u201cI cut off unhealthy habits, environments and relationships,\u201d she explained. \u201cI made slow but meaningful adjustments. I learned new coping mechanisms, grew stronger at enforcing my boundaries and, with that, developed more self-worth and confidence.\u201d<\/p>\n
