As Netflix shifts its gaming strategy to a focus on party games, narrative games, kids games, mainstream games and more games on TV, the streamer is shutting down Boss Fight Entertainment.<\/p>\n

The streamer acquired the studio in 2022 as it looked to ramp up its mobile game offering. Boss Fight\u2019s titles include \u201cmyVEGAS Bingo,\u201d \u201cDungeon Boss,\u201d \u201cDungeon Boss: Respawned,\u201d \u201cNetflix Stories,\u201d \u201cMoney Heist: Ultimate Choice\u201d and \u201cSquid Game: Unleashed.\u201d Boss Fight, which was founded in 2013, is headquartered in Allen, Texas, with production studios also in Austin and Seattle. <\/p>\n

Netflix Stories and Squid Game: Unleashed will remain live on Netflix\u2019s platform so subscribers can play them.\u00a0Meanwhile, the company\u2019s upcoming slate of party games for TVs will launch this holiday season, including \u201cLEGO\u00ae Party!,\u201d \u201cPictionary: Game Night,\u201d \u201cBoggle Party,\u201d \u201cTetris Time Warp,\u201d \u201cParty Crashers: Fool Your Friends.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

A Netflix spokesperson declined to confirm how many jobs would be impacted by the closure.\u00a0<\/p>\n

News of the studio\u2019s shuttering was first confirmed via LinkedIn by Boss Fight co-founder David Rippy. <\/a><\/p>\n
