Prince Harry reportedly delivered a sharp retort when questioned about why he and Meghan Markle<\/a> persist in using their Royal titles despite stepping back from senior working Royal duties in 2020. During a prior conversation with Anderson Cooper, the 41-year-old faced scrutiny over the couple’s continued use of their ‘Duke’ and ‘Duchess’ designations.<\/p>\n In the discussion, which occurred while he was publicizing his explosive memoir Spare in early 2023, Harry<\/a> was challenged about their ongoing use of the titles, prompting his curt reply, “And what difference would that make?”<\/p>\n Cooper pressed further, “One of the criticisms that you’ve received is that okay, fine, you want to move to California<\/a>, you want to step back from the institutional role. Why be so public? Why reveal conversations you’ve had with your father or with your brother? You say you tried to do this privately.”<\/p>\n Harry then shot back decisively, “And every single time I’ve tried to do it privately there have been briefings and leakings and planting of stories against me and my wife.<\/p>\n “You know, the family motto is ‘never complain, never explain’. But it’s just a motto. And it doesn’t really hold,” reports the Express.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Despite withdrawing from official responsibilities in 2020, Harry continues to hold fifth position in the Royal line of succession.
