Described as White Lotus<\/em> meets Ripley<\/em><\/a>, Prime Video’s<\/a> new revenge thriller is getting plenty of buzz before it’s even premiered.<\/p>\n Malice<\/a><\/em> is an upcoming psychological thriller TV series from James Wood,<\/strong> which finds a “charismatic tutor” named Adam (Jack Whitehall<\/strong>) charming his way into the life of “the wealthy Tanner family while they’re on holiday in Greece,” per the Prime Video description<\/a>.<\/p>\n “When the family\u2019s nanny falls dangerously ill, Adam\u00a0orchestrates his way in to their London home and his true vengeful nature begins to emerge…” it continues, with Adam turning ” Jamie Tanner (David Duchovny<\/a><\/strong>) and Nat (Carice Van Houten<\/strong>) against each other” while plotting to “bring down the entire family.”<\/p>\n Those who begin “digging deeper into his past” soon learn that Adam may be “responsible for all their recent disasters,” but the realization may come “too late” to “save” the family.<\/p>\n With a plot this captivating, fans were eager for the trailer, which brings the story to life from the page to the screen, set perfectly to an eerie rendition of The Turtles\u2019 \u201cHappy Together.\u201d<\/p>\n “The Manny showed up,” Duchovny’s Jamie yells to his kids upon his first encounter with Adam, welcoming him to the family’s vacation, as Adam admits he’s “freeloading” and seeing how the “other half live.”<\/p>\n Things begin unraveling almost immediately after Adam’s arrival, and taking a sinister turn, as someone declares, “There’s something strange about him,” observing that “He’s always there.”<\/p>\n Duchovny’s Jamie later exclaims, “Someone’s out to get me, and I’m going to find out why.”<\/p>\n Fans immediately bolted to the comment section to reveal they would be watching for one main reason\u2014The<\/em>X Files<\/em><\/a> alum.<\/p>\n “David Duchovny (The X Files, Californication, Evolution), is so underrated.
