Teddi Mellencamp<\/strong><\/a> is praising her dad, John Mellencamp<\/strong><\/a>, in the wake of her cancer battle.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been 10 months since my brain surgery and I am so grateful to @johnmellencamp for continuously being there for me and my family the entire time,\u201d Teddi, 44, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Friday, October 24, along with a photo of the famed rock star and her two daughters, Slate and Dove.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough apparently now that I\u2019m no evidence of disease I can take photos without myself in it so I guess we\u2019re all healing \ud83e\udd23,\u201d she continued. \u201cLove you so much, Cougs. Thank you for everything \u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post comes weeks after Teddi shared a happy update<\/a> about her health after revealing she was diagnosed with stage IV melanoma that had metastasized to her lungs and brain. To treat her progressive illness, the reality TV star underwent brain surgery to remove the tumors. More tumors were found in March, and Teddi was told she had a 50\/50 chance of survival.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDuring her three seasons on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, we saw Teddi Mellencamp in her fair share of arguments and confrontations. But nothing could prepare her for the monumental battle she\u2019s facing now. \u201cI\u2019m fighting for my life,\u201d she tells Us Weekly, \u201cBut also for my family\u2019s life and all the people I [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cJust to give a little life update to you guys, I had my immunotherapy yesterday and they did my scans,\u201d Mellencamp said during the October 3 episode of iHeartRadio\u2019s \u201cTwo Ts in a Pod\u201d podcast. \u201cAnd at this point, there is no detectable cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Because she will continue to stay on immunotherapy for a year, Teddi explained that despite there being no detectable cancer she is \u201cI\u2019m \u201cnot considered in remission or anything like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they told me, I was in such shock,\u201d she added. \u201cI was, like, numb.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd [the doctor\u2019s] like, \u2018No it\u2019s only because that\u2019s how long immunotherapy has been around so that\u2019s how long the study has worked,\u2019\u201d Mellencamp said during an April interview on Nightline<\/em>. \u201cSo that\u2019s when I then try to find the positive.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the latest update is a positive one, the former reality star has been careful to make it clear that she has a long way to go before she\u2019s in the clear.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m still going to be having days where I\u2019m feeling sick and stuff because I still am in immunotherapy. So, I\u2019m still fighting,\u201d she explained. \u201cThe way they said it works, it\u2019s like a year, then two years, then at three years, you\u2019re allowed to be considered in remission<\/p>\n

In addition to her dad, Teddi has also received support from her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave<\/strong>. The pair, who separated in October 2024, share son Cruz, 11, along with daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 5. Teddi cited \u201cirreconcilable differences\u201d as the cause for their split.<\/p>\n
