The 32nd annual fete recognized a new class of storytellers in 33 categories, who received AFF\u2019s signature\u00a0Bronze Typewriter Award at the Awards Luncheon\u00a0held Oct. 25.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFounded in 1994 on the principle of honoring the screenplay, AFF\u2019s yearly Writers Conference and\u00a0competitions serve as a launchpad,\u00a0identifying\u00a0and connecting emerging talent with established industry leaders via mentorship and career development. Selected from a pool of more than 17,000 submissions across 112 countries, 35 writers and filmmakers were\u00a0recognized\u00a0this year for their outstanding work.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cFor over\u00a0three\u00a0decades,\u00a0our competitions have served to highlight emerging creatives and recognize original storytelling,\u201d said Barbara Morgan,\u00a0executive\u00a0director of\u00a0AFF, in a statement.\u00a0\u201cAt a time when the industry is in flux,\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0proud to be partnering with so many\u00a0industry leaders to\u00a0identify\u00a0the next generation of\u00a0screenwriters\u00a0and\u00a0create real opportunities.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAwarded writers and filmmakers received accolades from\u00a0industry\u00a0partners\u00a0including\u00a0AMC Networks,\u00a0Enderby Entertainment,\u00a0Josephson Entertainment and\u00a0the Writers Guild of America East.\u00a0Additionally, winners in the Narrative, Documentary and Animated Shorts competitions are eligible for Academy Award consideration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThrough\u00a0its\u00a02025 Script Competitions, AFF also partnered with Wonder Project to\u00a0identify\u00a0writers whose scripts embody humor, heart and hope.
