For the last five decades, Reba McEntire<\/a><\/strong> has established herself as a beloved country singer and TV star. <\/p>\n While speaking to People magazine<\/a> in October<\/a> 2025, McEntire referenced her long-lasting career in the entertainment industry. Even though she\u2019s had impressive record sales and starred in two successful sitcoms, Reba<\/em> and Happy\u2019s Place<\/em>, McEntire said she\u2019s managed to remain down-to-earth. McEntire explained that when she \u201cwas signing the contract 50 years ago,\u201d she \u201chad no idea about the music<\/a> business.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cI was a rodeo cowgirl; I was a rancher\u2019s daughter, and a rodeo brat. To get into the music business was scary<\/a>, leaving all my friends and my family<\/a>, but I had great people that guided me. That was the thing I got out of this whole career \u2014 my friends,\u201d said the Oklahoma native during the People magazine interview. <\/p>\n McEntire then recalled not having the most glamorous of times when she started her career as a musician. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cSee, I thought when you got a record label to sign, you had a record on the radio, well, you got a tour bus, and you\u2019re rich,\u201d said McEntire to People. \u201cMy first tour bus was years later, and it broke down every day. Before that, I was in vans and pickup trucks with campers and horse trailers to haul the gear and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition, McEntire told People that her \u201cimagination wasn\u2019t big enough to even create what [she has] gotten to do in [her] career.\u201d <\/p>\n McEntire is a coach on Season 28 of the hit NBC<\/a> singing competition series, The Voice<\/a><\/em>.
