Bill Mumy<\/strong> paid tribute to his TV mom, June Lockhart,<\/strong> following her death at age 100<\/a>. The legendary actress died on October 23 at her home in Santa Monica, CA. Lockhart co-starred with Mumy in the 1960s television series Lost in Space<\/em>.<\/p>\n In a post to his Instagram page<\/a> on Oct. 25, Mumy, 71, shared a still of him and Lockhart from a Lost in Space<\/em> episode. He also shared a later photo from a Lost in Space<\/em> reunion.<\/p>\n \u201cGoodbye to the brilliant June Lockhart,\u201d he captioned the post. \u201c A one-of-a-kind, talented, nurturing, adventurous, and noncompromising Lady. She did it her way. June will always be one of my very favorite moms. 100 years here. Wow! R.I.P. \ud83d\udc4d\ud83c\udffc\u270c\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffb.\u201d<\/p>\n Lockhart played biochemist Dr. Maureen Robinson, and Mumy played her son, Will, on the CBS sci-fi series from 1965 to 1968. Lockhart was also known for her roles in the classic TV shows Lassie<\/em> and Petticoat Junction<\/em>.<\/p>\n In June, Mumy honored Lockhart when she turned 100 years old. In the caption to a series of photos posted to Instagram<\/a> on June 25, the former child star wrote, \u201cHappy 100th Birthday to the Mighty JUNE LOCKHART today!! What a gal! She is truly special! Onward. \u201c<\/p>\n Mumy later shared more photos<\/a> from Lost in Space<\/em> as he began the countdown for Lockhart\u2019s next birthday. \u00a0\u201cStaying in June memory mode as the adventure of her 101st year gets started!\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n In June, Mumy\u00a0told Remind\u00a0<\/em>magazine<\/a> that he received updates on Lockhart from her family more than 60 years after they first worked together. \u201cI talk to her through her daughter,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cJune is at home. She has two assistants. She\u2019s still in her own home. She follows the politics, she reads the news, but she doesn\u2019t talk on the phone, and she doesn\u2019t \u2014 obviously \u2014 she\u2019s not going to put on all her makeup and go out and do a convention or anything anymore, but she\u2019s, well, she\u2019s fine. She\u2019s healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n Mumy also shared a surprising fact about Lockhart in a video interview<\/a>. \u201cShe was enamored with David Bowie.
