Dancing With the Stars professional Cheryl Burke has come to the defense of judge Carrie Ann Inaba following fan’s complaints about scoring.<\/a><\/p>\n Last week fans of the dancing show<\/a> levied criticism at the long-time show judge, noting that although Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas were out of sync during a routine<\/a>, Carrie Ann gave them a 9, while Robert Irwin and Alix Earle received 8’s for flawless routines. Hopping into the comments on her Instagram post to defend herself, Carrie Ann reminded critics it is “okay to disagree” and that is what the public vote is for.<\/p>\n Now dancing professional and guest judge Cheryl has waded in on the debate defending the show judge despite the backlash. She added that Carrie Ann being hit with criticism is “nothing new”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cBut this is also the beauty of the show, like, everyone has the right to their own opinion but don\u2019t attack anybody,” Cheryl said. She appeared to echo Carrie Ann’s own sentiment on the scoring backlash.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s okay to disagree about what we see,” the judge wrote on Instagram. “That\u2019s what makes our show great. You have a say in the matter.<\/p>\n “We want you to vote for what you love and believe in. I appreciate your comment and the way you expressed your feelings. Thank you for your passion and your opinion.”<\/p>\n Cheryl added that there may be a hint of misogeny about the complaints. ” \u201cIf you\u2019re opinionated and you happen to be a woman, there is a little bit of that, right?” she said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n “Because, like, I\u2019m pretty sure every judge has said the same thing at some point, but the reaction to them, to them as individuals, it\u2019s very different.\u201d<\/p>\n In 2023, Carrie Ann told Variety she believed she recieves more criticism than her male co-judges. She said, “The biggest misconception about me is that what I do is easy.<\/p>\n “I don\u2019t know many people in this business who have kept a job for 32 seasons.<\/p>\n “What I do is complex and it takes courage.
