Actor Michael J. Fox <\/a><\/strong>is sharing insight into having the chance to host a 1991 Saturday Night Live <\/a><\/em>episode.<\/p>\n While speaking to Entertainment Weekly<\/a> in October 2025, Fox referenced that during the SNL<\/em> episode, he starred alongside Chris Rock<\/a><\/strong>, David Spade<\/a><\/strong>, Adam Sandler<\/a>,<\/strong> and the late Chris Farley<\/a><\/strong> in the sketch, “Not Gettin’ Any: Losers.”<\/a> The satirical sketch featured five misogynistic men sharing why they think women aren’t romantically interested in them.<\/p>\n In the Entertainment Weekly interview, Fox shared his thoughts about his SNL<\/em> scene partner, Farley, who died in 1997 at the age of 33.<\/p>\n “Chris was so great and so sweet and so guileless, and just a great guy. I loved him. He was a big puppy. He was so good, and just so funny,” said Fox to the publication.<\/p>\n While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Fox noted that Dana Carvey<\/a><\/strong> and Spade did impersonations of him during his SNL <\/em>opening monologue. Fox said that he was impressed with how Carvey got his mannerisms down while filming the 1991 SNL <\/em>episode.<\/p>\n “He got so into the physical thing, because I used to do a thing where I’d put my hands in my pockets, do a 360, and leap up on the counter. I never imagined that he’d do it but he got that, he totally nailed it. He really did. I love Dave a lot, but I really loved Dana’s impression,” said Fox to Entertainment Weekly.<\/p>\n Farley starred in SNL<\/em> from 1990 to 1996, as reported by IMDb<\/a>. Sandler, who had a close friendship with Farley, was an SNL<\/em> star for five seasons until 1995, per IMDb<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sandler returned to 30 Rock to host a 2019 episode<\/a> of SNL<\/em>. While filming the opening monologue, Sandler performed a touching song in tribute to Farley.<\/p>\n Sandler spoke about his SNL<\/em> performance in honor of Farley in a July 2019 interview on Conan O’Brien<\/a><\/strong>‘s talk show, CONAN<\/a><\/em>. Sandler explained the moment was quite powerful because he couldn’t help but reminisce about his time working with Farley on SNL<\/em>.<\/p>\n “When I was singing the song I looked out, and I was getting misty just because all the nice memories we had together in that studio. A lot of the crew was the same crew from 25 years earlier that hung out with Farley,” said Sandler to O’Brien.<\/p>\n Sandler also said he got permission from Farley’s mother, Mary Anne Farley, to perform the song on SNL<\/em>.
