(WTNH) \u2014 Girl power is coming to the Shubert Theatre next month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A new musical by Sacred Heart Academy will be bringing a mix of fairy tales and pop to the stage, with songs paying tribute to Britney Spears.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.wtnh.com\/news\/connecticut\/new-london\/5-seconds-of-summer-to-perform-at-mohegan-sun-in-may\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:5 Seconds of Summer to perform at Mohegan Sun in May;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\"> 5 Seconds of Summer to perform at Mohegan Sun in May <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cOnce Upon a One More Time\u201d\u00a0is running at the Shubert Theatre on Nov. 7 and 8.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The plot is based on a fairy godmother dropping into the kingdom of Cinderella, Snow White and Rapunzel. The princesses discover that the meaning of \u201chappily ever after\u201d might be unconventional.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The performance features singing, \u201cfierce choreography\u201d and messages of empowerment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIt\u2019s about finding your voice and finding who you are and what your true happily ever after is,\u201d Aubrey Christopher, who is playing Cinderella in the show, said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Christopher adds Sacred Heart has reached out to Spears\u2019s lawyer in an effort to get her to make an appearance and view the tribute.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Proceeds from the musical are going towards Life Haven and New Reach, a Thanksgiving food drive and an initiative that provides books for under resourced children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><i>Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
