Keith Urban<\/strong> is feeling the love from his tour mates on his birthday! The country music superstar, who turned 58 years old on Sunday, Oct. 26, received a very special gift \u2014 a custom-designed Gibson guitar \u2014 from Chase Matthew<\/strong>, who served as a special guest on his 2025 High & Alive World Tour.<\/p>\n In a heartfelt video post on Matthew\u2019s Instagram page, Urban can be seen getting emotional as the \u201cDarlin\u2019\u201d singer, 27, shares his gratitude for having had the opportunity to join Urban on the road. The trek was a major highlight for Matthew as it brought him to places he had never imagined in North America, as well as overseas in Australia.<\/p>\n \u201cThank you so much for having us\u2026,\u201d Matthew, who is currently on his headlining Holdin\u2019 It Down Tour, says in the Instagram clip, speaking for the rest of his camp, who surround Urban to watch the unveiling of the gift. \u201cWe\u2019ve learned so much from watching you and your team, and they\u2019ve been so awesome. And, taking us to Australia with you, places we never thought we would ever be in our entire lives.\u201d<\/p>\n Matthew proceeded to ask for someone to cut the lights as he redirected Urban\u2019s focus to a computer with cultural artist Sam Mangakahia<\/strong> on the other end. Mangakahia specializes in custom artwork that tells unique stories.<\/p>\n While on FaceTime, Mangakahia, who grew up in Brisbane, Australia, and is from the North Shore of Oahu, greeted Urban and briefed him on what was about to be unveiled.<\/p>\n \u201cI thought I\u2019d give a bit of background on the artist behind this gift that your friends put together for you \u2026.I tell stories through design that empower people who are true to their values, and this piece, I\u2019ve titled it The Rise of the Phoenix,\u201d Mangakahia told a teary-eyed Urban.<\/p>\n \u201cIt covers a lot of things and it touches on your family, things that are important to you, your music…where you grew up, and it\u2019s all kind of wrapped up in this,\u201d he added before sharing a sneak peek of the M\u0101ori-inspired design on a piece of paper. \u201cBut most of all, you know it\u2019s something to honor your legacy, the things that you\u2019ve built over the years, that have inspired thousands of people, including myself, and your fearlessness, of attacking your dreams, and that\u2019s huge.\u201d<\/p>\n After the meaningful exchange, Urban, who was holding back tears, was brought over to the guitar, which was still in its case. Once opened, the \u201cSomebody Like You\u201d singer\u2019s jaw dropped.<\/p>\n \u201cOh my goodness,\u201d Urban said looking astonished. \u201cOh my gosh, man. C\u2019mon, it\u2019s gorgeous. Wow, it\u2019s breathtaking\u2026.I\u2019ve never seen anything like this. It is just exquisite.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt truly is. I can\u2019t breathe,\u201d Matthew replied while watching Urban accept the gift.<\/p>\n Before ending the video, Matthew and Urban shared a few hugs, and Urban spoke to everyone in the room.<\/p>\n \u201cThank you for bringing your heart every night, man. All of you guys, thank you all for just bringing the right spirit. Like that\u2019s all it is. We\u2019re not rocket scientists. We\u2019re just trying to bring some joy, some hope, some levity, and some light to the people,\u201d Urban said, then turning to Matthew. \u201cI\u2019ve watched you and the band come out night after night; it didn\u2019t matter where it was, you guys came out with a purpose.\u00a0 And that\u2019s what everybody responds to every night. It\u2019s been an honor to have you guys out on the road with us. I\u2019m really grateful that you want to do it. So thank you all.\u201d<\/p>\n Urban\u2019s new custom-designed Gibson is the 30th art-engraved piece by Mangakahia. Jelly Roll has the number 29, while Post Malone has the number 28.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t wait to see this guitar out in the wild, if that means on stage or in the studio or wherever it may be,\u201d Mangakahia told Urban. \u201cI just hope you can use this and love this thing\u2026. I\u2019m just excited for you to have this in your hands.\u201d<\/p>\n Urban\u2019s highly ambitious High & Alive World Tour wrapped on Friday, Oct. 17, in Nashville, Tenn., at the Bridgestone Arena.
