\n theatre, which is currently under a 70-year lease with Trafalgar
\nEntertainment, is due to welcome audiences beginning\u00a0in 2027. The largest
\nnew theatre of this scale to open in London since The National in 1976, the\u00a0theatre is part of the \u00a31.3 billion redevelopment
\n of Olympia, a 140-year-old exhibition complex, into a cultural and entertainment destination for London.<\/p>\n
\n stage of the new theatre will be able to\u00a0accommodate the most
\nambitious theatrical productions, while a wrap-around auditorium
\nwill offer\u00a0intimate audience experiences. <\/p>\n
\nvenue without the spatial and land-marking restraints of traditional West
\n End theatres will allow spaces that\u00a0cater
\nto the needs\u00a0of contemporary audiences, including
\nhigh-speed elevators\u00a0and multiple entry points for easy access, generous bar
\n space at every level,\u00a0four exclusive premium lounges, and private
\nseating boxes. Other welcome\u00a0news for audiences include expanded auditorium seating with more\u00a0legroom
\nbetween rows\u00a0as well as toilets available at every level (80-plus toilets in total).<\/p>\n

\ncurrently being fitted by building contractors Make One London. The wider development has been designed by London-based Heatherwick Studio and SPPARC architects.<\/p>\n
\n America\u2019s oldest professional theatre company and the largest theatre
\nowner on Broadway. Having\u00a0produced hundreds and hundreds\u00a0of plays and musicals
\nthroughout the last century, the Shubert Organization\u00a0has remained dedicated to sustaining and

\n completed, the transformed Olympia entertainment complex will also boast exhibition and
\nconferencing spaces for up to 20,000 people, a 4,000-capacity live music
\n venue (operated by AEG Presents), hotels, offices, a co-educational
\nsenior school featuring a state-of-the-art community theatre hospitality
