If Lily Allen<\/a>\u2019s latest album, West End Girl, hasn\u2019t made its way to your Spotify algorithm or TikTok FYP, it\u2019s time to lock in. Lily released 14 new tracks\u2013marking her first full-length album since 2018\u2019s No Shame\u2014and she seems to chronologically detail the downfall of her four-year marriage with Stranger Things star David Harbour<\/a> throughout the project. It all started when she moved to London for some acting gigs on the West End, which is when she and David seemingly opened up their relationship<\/a> under specific conditions.<\/p>\n Two of the tracks on the album\u2014\u201cTennis\u201d and \u201cMadeline\u201d<\/a>\u2014allege that David lied about their open arrangement and took a sexual connection with another woman into emotionally romantic territory. \u201cWho the fuck is Madeline?\u201d Lily asks on the track \u201cTennis,\u201d while she outlines some of the rules in their \u201carrangement\u201d on \u201cMadeline\u201d: \u201cBe discreet and don\u2019t be blatant \/ There had to be payment \/ It had to be with strangers.\u201d <\/p>\n And now (unlike Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s \u201cBecky with the good hair\u201d from 2016\u2019s Lemonade), the real Madeline has revealed her identity and reacted to Lily\u2019s West End Girl in an interview with the Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to the outlet, \u201cMadeline\u201d is actually costume designer Natalie Tippett, who allegedly met David in 2021 on set for his Netflix movie, We Have a Ghost, in New Orleans. Once filming ended, he reportedly flew Natalie to Atlanta to \u201ccontinue\u201d the affair while filming season 5 of Stranger Things.<\/p>\n When asked if she had heard Lily\u2019s music inspired by the situation, Natalie reportedly \u201crolled her eyes\u201d and told the Daily Mail, \u201cOf course I\u2019ve heard the song.\u201d<\/p>\n Natalie kept her response minimal, explaining, \u201cI have a family and things to protect. I have a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and I understand this is going on. It\u2019s a little bit scary for me.\u201d<\/p>\n On the song, Lily mimics the voice of the other woman and recites messages she had received from her, saying, in an American accent: \u201cI hate that you\u2019re in so much pain right now \/ I really don\u2019t wanna be the cause of any upset \/ He told me you were aware this was going on and that he had your full consent \/ If he\u2019s lying about that, then please let me know \/ \u2019Cause I have my own feelings about dishonesty.\u201d<\/p>\n Natalie confirmed that the lyrics were pulled from her messages to Lily, adding, \u201cI just don\u2019t feel comfortable talking about it at the moment.\u201d <\/p>\n
